Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes sentenced to 11 years in jail
Elizabeth Holmes, the founder and CEO of health technology company Theranos, was found guilty of wire fraud and conspiring to commit wire fraud in January. Holmes recently appeared visibly pregnant with her second child just before her November sentencing. On November 18, 2022, a judge told Holmes she was sentenced to 11 years and three months in prison, and she may spend her time at a minimum-security prison camp in Texas.
